DeEP PROJECT

OBJECTIVES

DeEP integrates philosophy of science, epistemology, and decision theory to develop a new analysis of non-quantifiable uncertainty.

The project pursues three main objectives:

  1. To analyse de Finetti’s interpretation of Knightian uncertainty as disagreement using intersubjective probabilities.
  2. To articulate a new analysis of risk understood as a collective attitude.
  3. To contribute to the development of new strategies for mitigating and managing severe uncertainty.

In addition to the PI, the research team consists of five researchers and two PhD students hired specifically for the project.

DeEP collaborates with Italian and international universities and companies to achieve specific objectives.
